Puzzles And More Puzzles

Johnny appeared in the middle of the Kingdom of puzzles. Puzzle pieces were falling every now and then. Every color imaginable , every shape imaginable.

"Dreamland again? Where am I know?" Johnny looked around but saw no one

Johnny walked around , climbing some giant puzzle pieces stepping over some tiny ones.

"Hello?" Johnny asked a few times while looking around walking .

"Hello" Called a voice from high above the Traveler. "It seems you too ended up in the Kingdom of Puzzles" The voice called out again, but this time after he spoke a large gust of wind began to blow and then quickly die out. Once the wind died out there stood a blond haired man with a red coat staring at the other Traveler.

Time to surface.

The blocks shined against the angled sun, leaving behind a long dark shadow. A hand appeared out, seemingly to grab the air and Addy stammered out of her portal.

"Whoa!" she yelled as she tried to balance herself.Gaining her footing, she adjusted her hood and took a look around.

"Looks like the kingdom of puzzles." she mused, missing the two people who were a few blocks away.

Johnny turned toward the voice he heard.

A gust of wind came at him and made him close his eyes for a second.

From nowhere appeared a men with red hair with a long red coat on.

something told johnny he was not a nice guy , he had an ominous look around him.

"W-Who are you?" Johnny tried to remain as brave as he could.

"Is this the Kingdom of Puzzles?"Johnny asked the men while taking a step back

Addy could hear a voice nearby. She peeked over the puzzle block to see two people. The blonde haired looked normal enough, probably a traveller. There were definitely questions to ask him. The red-haired man was definitelly a demon, or maybe someone even stronger. She couldn't fathom the idea of a nightmare lord coming down to a quiet place like here, but she was snapped out of her thoughts when the traveller asked about the location.

"Yes, this is the Kingdom of Puzzles," she said loud enough for him to hear. She lifted herself off her feet to get a better look at the two. "Who are you? Are you a traveller?"

Krono gave a small shallow bow "I am Krono and you are?" Krono switched his eyes from the traveler to the female demon. He was sure she wouldn't know who he was, but just in case he would have to keep a small eye on her. "Whats brings to the lovely game today?"

Johnny looked from Krono to the young lady that jumped from the top of a puzzle piece.

"I am Johnny" Johnny said to the both of them.

"Yes, I am a traveler" Johnny said after debating in his head if he should tell that to both this strangers.

"Who are you?" Johnny asked looking at the gril

Addy was ecstatic to hear Johnny say he was a traveler. She quickly ran over to him and got up close to him, eyes glimmering.

"Wow, so you're from the real world!" Addy said, excited. "Are you a student? Where do you go to school? What kind of uniform do you wear? What color is your sky??"

It would seem Krono had nothing to worry about after all. Once the demon heard Johnny say he was a traveler she raced over to him and began to question him. Krono just sat back and watched.

Johnny took a few steps back surprised at what the girl in front of her did.

She had the look of a kid who is full of questions with nothing to worry.

Johnny took a look at Krono, who did not move one bit from where he was. "What is he?" johnny wondered

He switched to looking at the girl in front of her , deciding it was ok to answer her questions.

"Well, yes. I am a student. I go to High School, no uniform. What color is my sky? It's ,um, blue" Johnny answered. He looked at her eyes full of wonder. He smiled at her

"Now my turn, You still have not answered my question. Who are you? What are you?" Johnny asked more serious now.

Addy took in the information that Johnny told her. She giggled with excitement at knowing more about the real world. "Wow that's so neat!"

Calming herself down, she smiled, even when Johnny was asking his question about her so seriously. "Call me Addy, and I'm a demon, a resident of this Dreamland. Nice to meet you."

Johnny took another step back .

"A demon. She said a demon. Just like Neytiri. Wait calm down . She looks like a good girl, er, demon" he thought

"Nice to, to meet you" johnny hesitated before asking another question

Johnny smiled, then remember Krono. Looked at Krono who hasn't moved yet a muscle, untouched by the conversation.

"Where you born here Addy?" Johnny asked Addy

"Yes, I was." Addy said. Realizing her answer was too vague, she waved her hands in front of her as if to say "no". "Wait, not here in this very spot. I mean I wasn't born in the Kingdom of Puzzles, but somewhere else in Dreamland. What I mean to say here is here in Dreamland." She laughed sheepishly.

Realizing that Johnny was stepping away from her, she went close to him and grabbed his arm. "C'mon, I don't bite! At least when I'm in human form, but you can relax!"

"She said she was a demon, last time I checked there were no demons in our world, so of course she was born here" Krono shook his head at Johnny as he spoke. What type of question was that, if he had used his common sense he would have already knew the answer. Then again maybe Johnny didn't have common sense. "Oi, have you seen anymore people around?"

Johnny took his hand away slowly from Addy.

Looked at Krono, "Wait, I think I heard this voice before...where?" Johnny thought

"I just got here. No I have not seen anyone besides you two here. Who are you looking for?" Johnny asked Krono

"What is your other form?" Johnny lowered his gaze to Addy.

"I only got here so I don't know." Addy eyed Krono, trying to think for a second where she'd seen him before.

"Better than telling you I'll show it to you." She winked, taking a small leap back. In a matter of seconds, her skin turned black and her clothes seemed to meld with her growing dark fur. A very large wolf, about 7 feet in length, stood before Johnny, smirking at him. She circled around him, curious to how he would react to her transformation.

Johnny has seen this before , this time he was not scared. He reached for her head.

Waiting for her to circle him johnny reached down and slowly touched her dark fur. His fingers disappearing into the fur.

"Cool" whispered johnny

"Can you talk in that form?" Johnny asked curiously

"Yes." Addy responded. Her mouth didn't move, but her voice could be heard in the mind, telepathic communication. Addy made a grin. "I'm glad you appreciate it." Noticing a taller structure made from the puzzle blocks she made a great jump to the top. She managed to change quickly back into her human form just before touching the ground again.

Turning around, Addy asked, "So why are you here Johnny?"

"Well I ....I do not really know. I just have been going to sleep like I normally do, yet as soon as I fall asleep I end in here. I Can't really expl-" Johnny looked up. He made an expression of anguish

Johnny ran as fast as he could and jumped toward Addy. He tried to reach her as fast as he could.

"Get down!!!" Johnny screamed as soon as he reached her.

He shoved her to the floor and cover her with his body.

Above them was a giant 2-story big purple puzzle piece falling on them.

"How can this be? I forgot about the puzzles falling. Am I going to die here? Will I die in real world too? Will she at least survive" All this crossed Johnny's mind in a split second.

As soon as the puzzle hit them it turned to ashes.

Johnny waited a few seconds and wondered what happened.

He opened his eyes and stood up. The puzzle piece around him has turned to ashes and his body was covered in a small layer of flames.

"W-what is , what is going on?" Johnny said out loud

Addy listened to Johnny's story, bu was surprised when Johnny's expression, and even more when he pushed her down to cover her from an incoming block. Thinking to raise a shadow to protect them, she realized an intense heat coming from Johnny. The large puzzle piece had turned to ash around them. Surprised, but not shocked, she slowly got up and wiped the stray ashes from her clothes. Her temporary stun turned to curiosity and she smiled.

"Johnny, you're a fire user!" she said. She was in awe to be next to someone with incredible power, even if he was still new in Dreamland.

Johnny plunder at what she had just said for a minute "I am a what?"

He looked at his body he was on fire, literally on fire. His whole body was covered in a small thin layer of fire. Reverberating all over his body.

"What's this? Is this an effect of dreamland?" johnny whispered to no one in particular.

"Its not burning me." He looked at his hand rotated it left, right, up, and down. Looked at his feet his clothes. Nothing was burning. He reached for the puzzle that had fallen on top of them.

As soon as his fingers were near it it started burning as if they were just lit on fire with gasoline and matches.

"How is this possible?" He turned to look at Addy.

"Just like I said, a fire user." Addy stared at the traveller's flames, reminding her of a human candle. She put her hand under her chin into a thinking position. "You must have went through a nightmare involving your fear of fire, then conquered that fear, developing your powers. Through that you were also able to come here. But of course you would be alright around fire, you can control it after all."

She turned her head a little when Johnny reached for the puzzle piece, igniting his hand. "Anyways, you can calm down now." She waved her hand to blow off some of the heat. "I'll be more careful now. Thanks for saving me."

Johnny looked at her awestricken. "How do I , How do I turn it off?" Johnny asked in bewilderment , he still had not come to terms with what was happening.

Johnny looked up and thought a minute about what Addy had just said. His eyes widened "I saved a girl from a house burning" johnny whispered to himself. "Was that a dream?" Johnny wondered.

He tried to blow off the fire from his body by blowing on it.

Krono's stared blankly at the two as the serious of events unfolded. Addy was a dog demon which was pretty typical among demons. Johnny on the other hand was a bit more interesting. It would seem he was a fire user, not a very good one, but a fire user none the less. "Maybe I should kill him now before he learns to use his powers and become a problem in the future"

Krono started to reach into his jacket for something, but then decided against it. He would continue to closly watch Johnny, maybe there was a chance he could be used by the Lord. "Yes it was a dream, a dream of your fears and looks like you overcame that fear. Good boy~" Krono started clapping and then stopped.

Johnny had completely forgotten Krono was still there.

Johnny looked up and put his hands on boxing stance by reflex, the fire layer around his body seemed to increase a little but just for a scond. He couldn't help but feel insecure, he felt some ominous presence...a dark aurora coming from Krono.

"You didn't told me who it was you were looking for" Johnny asked Krono. Lowering his guard a little.

Krono gave a small shallow smile "I'm not looking for anyone. My question was have you seen anymore people around, people like other travelers" Krono was trying to gauge just how much Johnny knew about the other new travelers if he knew anything at all.

Addy looked from Johnny to the now speaking Krono as they spoke. She saw Krono's hand move to his jacket, drawing up her curiosity when he relaxed. This is definitely turning interesting, she thought.

Pretending not to notice the tense atmosphere, she went up to Krono and hugged his arm. "C'mon, let's not fight here! Hey, Krono, if you're looking for someone, why don't we all go exploring together?" She gave a reassuring smile to both of them.

Krono turned to face the demon girl. He gave her a mild smile as she took his arm. "Lead the way"

"I think I am going to go" Johnny said not wanting to go with a demon and a stranger.

"I just have to figure out how to switch off this power" johnny thought

Immediately after Johnny said he was leaving, Addy let go of Krono and stood in front of him. Not wanting Johnny to leave,she pouted. "You shouldn't leave! You gotta stay to explore this place." Smiling, she tries to get close to Johnny, but at a distance to not touch the fires on him. "Besides, we might something that could be connected to you and your powers. I want to know just like you." She stood firm to get her point across.

Johnny liked when people were blunt. Besides she did have a point.

"Where should we go Addy?" Johnny wondered

"Hm..." Addy looked around at in different directions. Having no idea on where to go, she pointed in a random direction away from the three. "There! C'mon, onward and forward," she cheered. She walked ahead forward happily, blissfully ignoring the puzzle pieces falling from the sky as they landed nearby her path.

Johnny followed her. Still uneasy with fire surrounding him. Everytime he touched something or something touched him it got burned.

He felt much lighter with a fire layer surrounding his body. He could run really fast.

Johnny wondered where they will end up in as they walked

Noticing Johnny's fire issue, she stopped herself and turned to him. "Can't you turn that fire off or something? It won't be good for you if you keep burning everything." Part of her was still intrigued by his layer of flames.

"I don't know how" Johnny said as he looked at his body, trying to decipher how his powers worked.

I tried to save Addy and that is how it turned on. Maybe if i stop pretending to be some hero it will turn off. Johnny thought.

After a few minutes of trying it turned off.

Johnny almost lost his balance, he felt weak and heavy.

"What's , happening" Johnny wondered.

He reached for his head. He had a big headache all of a sudden

Addy stared at Johnny with fascination as his powers were turned off. Not surprisingly, he started to waver with his power rush gone. She giggled from his tired state and asked, "Are you all right?" To be more thorough, she went close to his face to see if you was all right.

Johnny looked up at Addy

From here she looks just like a human girl would and acts like one. Johnny thought.

Johnny turned away a little embarrassed "I am ok"

Johnny got up slowly, his legs wavered a little under him, yet he still stood up.

"Let's go then" Johnny said with a smile trying to hide he was tired and worn out.

Addy smiled when Johnny proclaimed to be not tired. It was obvious that he was lying and that he was tired. "Well let's go then!" She proceeded to go on the same direction, but at a slower pace then before. At the same time, she began to wonder if his condition here would reflect in the real world.

Johnny walked along with her, noticing she slowed down a little

They eventually reached some caves. In one he noticed there was a sign on top of it.

Johnny looked down and saw some familiar person at the entrance
